I thought BMW used to fair badly in the bottom third.... that's pretty impressive is you see when Mercedes sits.

Well I have had four MB’s now and not had any reliability issues with any of them. I am going to ignore that as being nonsense

I've only had one, 2011 C207, and this last 6 months or so, started to have a few niggling problems, nothing major, but still quite costly, still love it, though. :)

I can't help but wonder about this chart. Is it based on factual garage visits and costs - if so how were they collected; OR is it based on customer satisfaction, which comprises expectations/actual events and the feeling of disappointment ??????

Mercedes gets 91%
Ok they are 26th, but it's still 91% , you'd take that percentage in pretty much anything, wouldn't you? not just cars. :)

I'd certainly take it for a Euromillions win! :D

I’ve only had 4 Mercedes - 2 had no issues whatsoever the other 2 were shockers , 50% success but that won’t stop me getting another. “Good “ to see BMW up there...

Join me John and run both It’s interesting to compare. BMWs have too many plastic engine components which is their Achilles heel and Mercedes seem to have too many EU6 emission issues there will always be problems which ever way you go BMW just seem to have edge on reliability at the moment they are very well screwed together. I won’t be buying another diesel, EU6 was a bridge too far for me so it will be a MB petrol estate next

Have to agree - with the 5 MB's we've owned, we have never had a single problem. However that also applies to all the other cars I've owned (expect the old bangers when I was just starting out ~50 years ago).

Regular services and immediate attention to any potential issues will usually mean a reliable car.

Difficult to read the blurb on the left but is seems that is is based on subjective responses by past owners............

..............Struggled to start the car one morning but got it going, drove to work. Car would not start when I wanted to go home......what a cr@p car.
