I really like the Ambient Lightning that you get on modern Mercs. Would love it in my C207, but don't want it to look naff. I've found a firm in Huddersfield, called Vanquish Customs who say they can fit it and it will look like O.E. price is £360 + VAT
that might sound expensive, but I'd pay that, if it does genuinely look factory fitted.
Thoughts? :)

If it will look factory then yes, I loved it in my W213 - almost as much as my kids did

You'll need to get through the security gates on the M62 though

I agree with BC.. if it looks OEM then it would be nice.

Have you any pictures of previous works by VC?

Won’t it clash with the red lighting?

Shoud'nt do that only comes on/off when I lock/unlock, and open/close the doors and the footwell lighting I could either leave or change to Purple as that's the colour I would have on. :)

I have it in my C200, it isn't the full monty though it's just confined to the doors. :)

An old B-Class.
I've had it on my last 2 cars (it is an inexpensive option on a new car) but to be honest, I fiddled with the colours when I got the car three years ago and have not touched it again. You forget it is there and IMO it is pointless. I wouldn't order it again but perhaps if you've never had it........................

I tend to share this view. On mine (it was standard), it only has three colours anyway - white, orange and blue. White is pointless, blue clashes with the orange back lighting of the door controls so I just leave it on orange. Mrs L's Mini has the full range of colours but it just stays on the same one. Very much a gimmick.

I had the 64 colours in the E and would change them depending on mood. Nice to have a purple or red glow on a cold winters morning and a cool green or blue when it's warm out.
I have multi-colour LED's with 99 options in my conservatory...

Mine is only three colours, it stays on blue as the car is blue :)

there's only a choice of 3 or 4 colours on mine .... I picked one when I bought the car & I've not changed it since. :)

IIRC I have 5. Set it to red to match the Bengal Red upholstery and yep....don't even notice it now.

I think you should be asking more about "VANQUISH® Customisation" A Private Limited Co worth £100, two named directors the latest added this very Month, with no searchable history in the public domain beyond May 2019 when the Co was incorporated, maybe they've applied for trademark registration but according to .GOV they don't have it (yet?) Their internet presence is substantial but there's not a great deal more than anonymous advertising features with the majority of the video's of vehicles looking like they wouldn't look out of place in a drug baron's private collection :), no feedback from any previous customers, on any website or Social Media portals, they advertise on every page, no less than seven channels including a line of credit, Eight if you include cash! for you to pay them but yet on all four of their specialist services sections there isn't a single accolade or membership details of ANY professional association organisations ?
I found all that while waiting for my toast to cook this morning, I hate to think what further damning information is lurking behind a few selective payments to the paid reporting websites.
Caveat emptor! Personal wealth is far too hard come by to treat it with contempt and I believe this business is built around separating their customers from theirs.

Mmmm, hopefully @SmartAmg wouldn't have gone charging in there and gifted them some money for a s**t job without checking their credentials :)

Thanks for that, Tony, to be honest on further investigation I thought that myself, but your investigation is better, so thanks, I've cooled on the idea of Vanquish, but not the Ambient lighting. :)

Is it RGBW (colour changing/ mixing)? If so, and it looks OWM, that’s a very competitive price. Me personally, I had colour mixed ambient lighting in my 212 and really liked it. I’d go for it.

NB the cost to a supplier at this level for high quality LED RGBW flexi strips, using Osram, LG, SSC or Cree chips is around $70-80 per metre, which then has to be cut, sealed, harnessed and linked. So for a saloon car, they’re likely making £80-100 profit after labour costs on the job at the price mentioned.

Got this, ambient lighting strip, gonna give it a go, I'll do the dash first, if it looks naff or tacky then it's a no go, but for £6, what the hell, why not, if it does look good, I'll do the doors, the photo of the lit up one, is not very good, it's actually a nice purple. :)

I fitted ambient lighting stuff to my W221. I put colour changing LED strips in the front footwells, and in the rear underneath the front seats. Looks quite good and matches the effects of the newer cars. It doesn't really change the single colour ambient strips on the dash the go around, I might change the LED's in those, but only 3 colours, unless I wire up some sort of external controller.

I do like the ambient lights. My current wagon has a large choice, the only one I don't get is the Bronze colour, like a poorly 70's Austin Maxi
