Brake disks do not buckle or warp. Urban myth.
They can be fitted to run out of true, as mentioned.
They can contain manufacturing inclusions or have incorrect heat treatment process which may induce uneven wear at one point on the surface, creating a high spot which will produce the pulsing effect. This issue is pretty easy to design out with modern OEMs.
But... they don’t buckle or warp.
Disc (Yanks spell it with a k ) Thickness Variation ..... but when people say warped discs, you know what they mean ..... you end up with the same feel under your foot
