I'm 6'-3", would I have sufficient head and leg room in an SLK? The obvious answer is to sit in one but the nearest dealer with one in stock is some distance away and closed til after lockdown.

My eldest is 6’2” and fits well enough. More space in drivers side than passenger side.
Best thing to do is try one (when you can)

Regardless of what people say on the forum. You will not be certain/convinced/satisfied until you are sat in one with the seat adjusted accordingly and looking out the rear view mirror.
Sit tight (literally).

I am 6'1" & we have had two SLK's & currently have a SLC. I have no problem at all with the seating position, but I like a low upright seat. But as others have said go & sit in one.

I found our SLK a bit tight for me as I like to sit high in the seat and wasn't very comfortable in our SLK, that was until I tried with the drivers seat in its lowest position. Totally transform my comfort with driving and I am only 5ft 11.
You can come and try sitting in our SLK, then you'll buy it :D However we'll want lots of money for our one

Although only 6'2" I have to sit in a car first, as in many (especially with sun roofs) my head touches the roof, even with the seat right down. My wife says I'd be 6'6" if I didn't have such short legs.(for my size of course).

A slight deviation here model wise. But when I first got my SL it took me a few weeks to get used to the driving position. I kind of felt hemmed in being used to only driving saloon cars. I didn't really notice it when I test drove the the car as I was listening for noises from the transmission etc and generally taking everything in. But a few months in to it now I absolutely love it. So if you'r on the tall side make sure you'r comfortable and you have reserve fore and aft/up and down movement of the seat.

Talking of height.
A few years ago I was with friends and a well known height challenged personality at a social function. He was chatting up one of the ladies who responded by saying he was too short for her. He replied “Maybe, but when I stand on my wallet I’m over six foot!”

I'm 6 5 and very tight fit indeed in the SLK. People of shorter stature do not understand and never will, because it does not affect them. Loan cars are a real problem, but that is usually only for a day. The shape of the screen is also very important. Sunroofs typically take up 2 inches of head room. I've had this problem since my teenage years.

I find the passenger seat is very cramped for me as there is no adjustment like the drivers seat, so my legs a bent too much for my liking

It depends on the Model of SLK to which you are referring.....

I used to have a R170, the first Model and even only at just 6 foot I found for me the Driving Position to be a compromise.

To get the required amount of legroom I had to have the Rear Seatback in a slightly uncomfortable upright position. And obviously vice-versa, comfortable amount of recline, legroom compromised. It was something I could put up with for short journeys but I could imagine longer journeys would become uncomfortable.

I cannot remember having an issue with headroom so I'm presuming it was good....

But I will say one thing, the Heated Seats were a must and really superb on cold sunny winter days with the Roof down!

I have now sat in an SLK at a nearby dealer and sad to say there was insufficient headroom. Moreover with the seat fully back the rear of the seat back touched the panel behind and squeaked. So this model is off the shopping list.
