Finally picked mine up
From the Garage after 3 months without this old lady
After having the repair done

After the work was done the MoT was due and it failed as it had no Sils
And a few other bits and pieces
Suffice to say she’s back home now and needs a thorough clean inside and out

Spotted that the CLK has a broken exhaust bracket in front of the rear box :(

No. That's how it sits, it's only more visible as it is silver in colour, but they all are slightly visible. My other 3 looked exactly the same.

You can weld the brackets back on as the steel is substantial enough. I had the bracket welded back on my W210.

I know a bit "left field", but I received my "AA" Key Fobs today.

I've been a Gold Member for quite a while now and was bored so I was looking through what benefits I get as such. The one that definitely caught my attention was the Free Car Key & Lock Lock Insurance up to the value of £1500.00

So I called the AA, (you have to apply over the phone) a few days ago and the Key Fobs arrived today. The Fobs have to be attached to the Keys for it to be covered. My wife and I have Dual Membership so we get 2 Fobs (foc). Which is fortunate as the car came with 2 Keys. But obviously if you have 2 Cars then you put one on each.

It also covers a Hire Car, (up to 1600cc) if needed.

I never knew this so I'm wondering who here doesn't..... Really well worth it!! And the Fobs are made of quite nice and substantial material.

Anyway, I thought I would just mention it here - I hope that's ok?
You should be careful posting pics of your keys, someone could clone them...:p:D

It’s been welded before , there’s nothing left now . I do have an emergency stainless steel one to fit , which will tide me over to my next Indy visit :D
