So after sending the car in to have the leaky injector repaired they have advised that the turbo needs to be replaced
Not so bad, I was expecting them to say the engine was knackered. Was just wondering is this a DIY job? My dad and I have worked on plenty of other cars (all be it older) but never a Mercedes before. Just wanted to make sure there isn't any "specialist" equipment/procedures required? That's said, we did manage to get the inlet manifold gasket replaced in about 5 hours That doesn't include getting the wipers, battery try, bulk head heat shield out ;-)
Although, when driving, the turbo seems to work just fine! Could it be a case of oil seals? TBF to the indy, they did say given the amount of smoke coming out it's likely to be the turbo.
Thanks
