Yep , I do the filter every 35-40k Miles as well , it just seems such a cheap and beneficial diy job for use long term car keepers

Could you pull out enough belt to leave a section in a bucket of hot soapy water overnight ?
Any of the car valeters or carpet cleaning companies can probably do it easily
Try soap and water or All purpose cleaner sprays (Halfords) if you want a cheaper option
