W208 starts fine on a cold start, every time. If I drive for 10 mins and start again it will crank for 30 seconds and then eventually start. If I remove the key during the long crank and reinsert the car starts immediately without the long cranking issue. Can anyone shed some light on this?

Hi Guys, I hope all are well. The 300ce I have has a huge steering wheel and I think its the non airbag vinyl version which absolutely ruins the drive. Is there a smaller version that I can retrofit? Will the airbag version from the later W124 coupe fit my car? Thank you Rick
