The clips Pop open with a small flat head and you can buy the plyers on eBay or use a pair of side cutters to clip them back together. The system self bleeds so leave the ignition on for a few mins before starting and let it run for 5mins and your ready to go again.
I have the same engine and there is not a chance in hell I would let a filter run that long. Mine gets done every 10k because it's cheaper to replace the filters than the injectors and I personally think Merc are pushing it letting a filter run that long.
I have seen the same happen but many years ago with old Ford's RWD and I was once in my mates old cortina and that did the same but the prop dropped into the floor chucking us into the air
Just a quick one ................
I own a e250 and I'm thinking about replacing the chain tensioner but unsure if this can be done without the engine locking tools. Is it as simple as taking the old one out and putting the new one in ? I don't have any noise at start ups but once warm I seem to...
Buy yourself a icarsoft computer that way you can read it when it happens and post your findings. There are some great guys on here that will help you get to the bottom of the fault and if it is a sensor issue they are usually a DIY job so you could save £££££££££££
When I was a young lad I always told my wife that when I get to 50 I wanted a eclass Merc as my last car and that's what got me into a Merc. I have had well over 200 cars in my years of driving and if I'm honest the Merc isn't the best car I have owned or driven. I have had the eclass 4 yrs now...
Spent 2hrs with G3 getting a nasty scratch off the back quarter of my car. I really hate leaving my car anywhere because some people are just ***** and can't leave nice things alone.
I would get the car back into limp mode and DO NOT turn the car off so it can be plugged into a computer and then use live data to read what's going on. I had a similar problem with mine ( diff engine tho ) and found the exhaust back pressure sensor was at fault and after I changed that my...
The fault might be in pending codes..........
If it works fine after a restart then that's where you need to be looking with the correct diagnostic equipment.
As said above if the water is clear it's the A/C and if it's the same colour as the coolest then there is a issue somewhere but my money would be on the A/C.
Sounds like there was a airlock in the system. Keep a eye on the temp and if it happens again then the system will need to be running with the cap off until the airlock passes out of the system.
I would also agree that you have damaged a injector.......... Remove them again and take them to a specialist to recon them otherwise replace with new.
I have only ever seen it that once and have no idea how or why it came on......... If you can't park using your own eyes then you shouldn't be driving. I like the hold function and use that often sitting at the lights.
I remember once going into a carpark in mine after owning it 6 months and a steering wheel popped up on the screen ! Turned out my car has parking assist and a few other things that I didn't know about.
WoW they seen you coming............ we charge £25 for fronts and £25 rear strip and clean........... Replacing the rear handbrake shoes and spring kit £120 job done. I wouldn't be going back to that garage in a hurry that's for sure and the brake shoe leaver in the drum will be stuck and that's...
