    By way of a belated update guys on this issue I Ultimately got a replacement back with the built-in element. Image of damage done to original attached. Wasn’t cheap to repair but I couldn’t just leave it or disconnect.

    Not so much kneeling on it. Have a bad back so use it only on cold mornings or if the back is acting up and need a boost of heat into it.

    Hi I have a 2014 w204 c class. Today I felt excessive heat on the back portion of the seat to the point of it being burning . I turned off the heating on the seat and noticed that there was a small smudge on the leather in the region of this “overheating” and got the whiff of something burning...
