Posts above about LHD headlights.
Many years ago I had a Simca. I was in BAOR at the time. I'm fairly certain that my memory is correct but I seem to remember that the back of headlight on my RHD Simca had a lever that tilted the headlight bulb one way or the other. Used to change it over...
Ignoring cars and car insurance. If some yob punches me in the street breaking my teeth and but the police turn up at that moment and arrest said yob.
Yob doesn't have any special yob-policy so my claim for new teeth would be a private claim through the courts. But, it seems, these privacy laws...
I've painted the odd panel with a roller. Roll the paint on thick enough and, when it's dry, flat it with wet and dry and polish it up. It really does come up a treat.
I can understand the privacy issue. But on the other hand you are the victim of an offence commited by that person. There must be some way you can press charges.
Or are the police now telling victims of crime to go away because they're not allowed to give any details to victims meaning victims...
I wanna complain.
Normally it expects the exact model number including the string of letters and numbers. I usually know the make and model straight away but rarely ever get the exact string of letters after the model name.
So today I wasted all 5 of my attempts keying in additional model...
You got it.
But not a real one. You know what they cost?
No. I'm building this based on my Z3. I've had the z3 almost 20 years and last year just after taking this picture decideď to chop it up and make it into a 507-like roadster.
This is the 'before'.
I'll post an 'after' if I ever get...
Yes. Subtle was the plan. The nose is now around 1.5 inches longer pulled forward and down an inch or so to make the top and bottom lines of the grill more parallel with each other.
In case you're wondering. My 'un' merc is a BMW.
There's 3 pictures. 1st one is 'before'. The 2nd and 3rd are 'after'.
Or don't the other pictures appear?
Ok. It's not a total redesign. I just wanted the nose to be a bit lower. Grill less high. Just an inch.
I knew exactly what it was. . Because I'm seeing the exact same car as yeaterday.
Is my link broken?
Somebody post the link please so I know I'm looking at the same picture as everyone else.
Or. What time (uk) does the picture change?
OP's first question about what to do first.
I would say MOT stuff. Ignore the cosmetics and get it through an MOT (if it doesn't have one). That 40 quid test, even if it fails, will be a great eye-opener as to what you've got.
Working on all the cosmetic stuff is, in itself, rewarding. But the...
electric cars - ie batteries - is a phase we're going through. In the longer term Hydrogen will be the way to go.
Although hydrogen will be just a phase too. That bloke "Wlhelm Reich" discovered "Orgone" which is, basically, free energy. Only downside is you need to buy one of his wooden boxes...
My 2017 GLA 200d is ULEZ compliant. It's a diesel. I'd assume that an A 200d is as well. What's so smokey on the petrol A class cars that they don't meet the standard?
When my daytime driving lights are on and as the indicator flashes the light on that side dimmed.
Now in the "old days" I'd suspect an earth problem but I kind feel this is intentional by design?
If I switch the side lights or headlights on they aren't affected by the indicators. It just...
Once again. Thanks for the info.
In the end I got the original Mercedes OEM bars. £225 direct from MB. Not much more expensive than the Thule bars.
The MB OEM bars are a little higher than the Thule bars. I'd prefer it if they were lower but I guess the height is to make sure any sun roof can...
I have roof bars for ML and the feet/clamps have lots of rubber padding over the whole contact surface so can be clamped up nice and tight without marking the matt black paint on the ML's roof rails.
But I was looking at roof bars for GLA. They have a steel clamp that comes in direct contact...
