    2007 - E220 - W211 - Executive = how to remove turn signal in wing mirror

Mercedes E220 W211 Executive 2007 I’m having difficulty in removing the turn signal from my driver side wing mirror (damn tractors !?). I’ve looked on Youtube (other channels out there) and seen about 4 different types on this type/model. Now I’ve got mine stripped down a bit, I see that none...

    Battery information please

I have a Varta H3 - 100Ah, that has started to fail (it's resting at 12v at present) Yep, the alternator is putting out 13.9-14.4v. 1/ Is Varta a Mercedes recommended ? 2/ I only do about 6 miles per day, so unless I think about it, it doesn't get a great charge. Would a bigger Ah be any...

AC stopped as well as Cigar lighter etc

That was my first thought, & I had a quick feel around, but all was fine. I'll have a better dig around today if I can manage it. Thanks

AC stopped as well as Cigar lighter etc

About two weeks ago, my W211 started to get a wet windscreen interior, so I used the blower more than I ever had. Two weeks ago, I noted that my AC stopped working,,,,, and the clock is 40 minutes slow (or 11:20 fast !). Someone mentioned low voltage, so today I went to check it at he...

    LED's for headlights etc ??

Did you notice any heat difference between 5w and 21w ? I just bought Osram Nightbreaker Unlimiteds for dipped beam, but can't fit 'em myself. (Incy dentally - these have been discontinued for quite a time now.) My local indi will do it, so I thought I may as well get a full kit whilst he's at...

    LED's for headlights etc ??

I've eventually made my mind up, to try the Unlimited. Although I note that there are two types; 110% and 130%. Do they supply two sorts, or has one superseded the other ? Am now searching for best price - from reputable/pos feedback - suppliers !? Back soon

    LED's for headlights etc ??

Replies from Osram: As we have been saying, it's either lifespan or brightness - and never the twain,,,, They also say "If you would like to have more light than standard but better lifetime there is another alternative available : Night Breaker Silver". Their data sheets show lifespan of 150hrs...

    LED's for headlights etc ??

Luckily I only do 5000 miles yearly, and only have heads on at night. I'd like to use sides as daylights, but I'm embarrassed to turn them on in day light !? I've just dropped a line to Osram so will share their comments here.

    LED's for headlights etc ??

Anyone know the 'life' of the Osram Night Breaker Laser ? I went on the Ring site yesterday. https://www.ringautomotive.com/en/bulb-finder?make=Mercedes-Benz&model=E-CLASS+Saloon&year=2005+-+2009&l=1 I can't recall the details, but was about to get the +130% because of the AE tests and marks. I...

    LED's for headlights etc ??

That looks like a damn good test bed. Steven Rolfes comments about what constitutes +150% or 50% is something I was already thinking about. At the end of the day, I want better lights - I'm not bothered about "so called" claims, & the AE testing results seem to be well founded. I'm disabled...

Is this also true of head light bulbs; Philips is the better buy - for any reason ?

    LED's for headlights etc ??

Reminds me of when I bought my first Quartz Iodine spot lamp - about 1965. I could only afford one, so put it on the roof of my Consul. You will recall that they were so good, that they were banned for M.C.Rally - via Paddy Hopkirk and Mini. The problem was, that it was so good, that I...
