Mine went up almost double with Direct Line. Called them and they dropped a bit.
Comparison sites dearer.
Ended up increasing the excess to £350 with Direct Line to get it to £715. £479 last year!
I have done it. Coming up at £647. Direct Line dropped to £750 when I rang them. Gonna try them again tomorrow and tinker with excess to see if I can get it down a bit.
Hastings offered a black box to reduce theirs. I'm 49 with forever NCB for goodness sake!!
Would highly recommend Mercedes of Harrogate for any purchase. They have been exceptional with me and I am more than happy to travel there for anything I need.
Good luck with the search. Lovely motor that. Very jealous!
I have had it for 20 months now and have been impressed with it. Lovely to drive and does all I need it to do. Can't see me changing it any time soon so hopefully the car will reciprocate and not make me want to get rid!!
I do around 10 - 12 k per annum. Often shortish journeys though it gets a bit of a run now and then.
Think the warranty is worth having for the cost (£463 for 1 year or £805 for 2). Only one repair bill realistically.
I've had 5 and spent very little on repairs. Last 2 (S212 and the current W213) had a few warranty claims on them for nothing major.
This is the first car I have had with AdBlue and it seems to be the most common issue.
I would go down the road of questioning the lack of maintenance requirements if and when it came to it.
Got to be hard for them to turn down a claim on a system failing when there is no direction for prevention surely?
It is a Mercedes warranty through Allianz. Think it is the same underwriter as the one I have now.
Got the following from them following a long call:
Allianz Assistance (UK)

used, Mercedesbenzapprovedused (Allianz Global Assistance UK)...
Clear as mud with the warranty company! Sales line say Nox and AdBlue classed as exhaust so exempt. Called the claims line and asked them and they say they're covered.
Update. When it was approaching service time I emailed again and said 'you said to let you know when due' As promised, a reduced price service quote, which included the cabin filter and another part which didn't quote on the service portal.
Top class service from them again. Worth the long...
It's done 27,000. 4 and a bit years old. Mine had a drivers side lower suspension arm done on the warranty when it got serviced in August.
Yes it is diesel. Mate of mine has a 2018 identical model to mine and has just hit 105,000 miles without issue. It does say excludes exhaust system but...
It's £463 for 12 months, which I thought was ok but it looks to be lower than the original one. Main one being wear and tear failure excluded, whereas the original one covered failure due to wear and tear.
What is covered?
This warranty covers all factory-fitted mechanical and electrical parts...
Any thoughts on the Merc Extended Warranty?
Bought my E Class at 2 1/2 years old and got the Approved Used warranty with it. Dealer (Harrogate) have been great and agreed to let the manufacturer warranty run then put the 12 months Approved on it. Other dealers said couldn't be done but they...
Thanks everyone.
To add a further spanner a local mobile fitter has offered me a good price on Michelin Primacy 4 so will probably go with them @ £160 rather than the Costco 2 at £130.
2019 E Class needs tyres.
Michelin Primacy 3 (MO) on there now. Rears need replacing and fronts won't be too far behind.
Costco have Good Year Eagle F1 Supersport or Bridgestone Potenza.
Any recommendations?
TIA
