    Held in with a metal anti tamper clip? Hire & leasing companies sometimes fit them.;)

    Like this? Gently prise apart at the ends, two barbs hold the clip at the rear edge of the rectangular cut out.

    It's an anti-tamper clip often fitted by lease / hire companies to discourage card removal. :) gently pry the metal clip out with a small watchmaker's flat screwdriver.;)

    Yes 7G-DCT (wet clutch) Manual gearbox with electro-mech control. Driving style needs adapting, classic mistakes include crawling up to junctions, up gradients, too close to the vehicle in front in slow moving traffic.:)

    R170 Alarm problems

    The alarm siren has two internal Ni-Cad PCB mount rechargeable battery cells which have probably leaked due to age. Resulting in all sorts of weird alarm problems :)
