My rear demise has stopped working and the emergency stop blinking brake lights dont work but normal brake lights do work. Had some dampness in the boot.Rear light seals were leaking. Could it be the rear sam unit?

Looks like a can of worms. I understand the EGR can cause a similar fault. Exhaust sensor was changed a couple of months ago with one from Mercedes. So check the EGR valve and the Actuator.Car goes into limp mode and can be reset by restarting car. No warning lights though!!

Thanks All.Managed to get some G8 allen key head bolts. They fit perfectly and are easer to fit. I have replaces all 4 original bolts. They are stainless steel as well to boot. So if someone loses the bolts please look for G8 thread bolts 22mil.

I have a set of W219 roof bars. Is there any way to get replacement bolts to attach the bars. I have lost 2 of them. Mercedes says I have to get new bars.
