G'day all As I'm a very old, very sad man I would like to price y car when it was new, with options. Car is a 2009 s211 E280cdi, anyone got a price list they could share with me?

Had the cluster fail on my old S320, took it to an Cartronix who fixed for me in about an hour, that was in Waterlooville, plenty of other shops available that do repair. Slips out with a couple of key's (Car Radio) in cluster from what I recall.

Should have said mine is sound deadened, behind door cards, boot lid etc, efficient grips were very good noise wise, hopefully will never need the benefits of cross climates, but will live with a little noise on M25 (near cobham, horrendous on any tyre) for benefit of all year traction!

Had Efficient Grips on mine, recently changed to cross climates and have to say Efficient Grips noticibly quieter.

Had Goodyear Efficient Grip on my S211 until recntly, now on Crossclimate 2's. Have to say I thought the Goodtears were good but the CC2's are even better. Obvioulsy depends on tyre sizes etc.

Absolutely this! Pretty sure there are eccentric washers that can be used to resolve this, at that level I would expect less grip.

Gliptone is pretty good, here in UK I use Dr Leather which I have found to be better, but maye not available there. Worth checking if seats are sealed, I would imagine the probably were at that age but maybe nt now, try a drop of water on seat, if it sits on top of seat then leather is coated...

I'm pretty sure the noise levels on tyres are external driveby ratings and may not necessarilly directly relate to noise in the cabin. Having said that I have used many different makes of tyre and personally find Goodyear are generaly a quieter tyre, as are many Dunlops. Agree that sidewall...

Fitted a soft close motor to rear tailgate on the E class today, lovely to not have to slam boot shut now.

16 inch wheels on my E280 avant-garde, great ride. However pretty sure sport brakes will prevent fitment of 16's, very little clearance on mine to caliper and sport brakes are bigger calipers I think. May be worth a trial fit of 16 on the front before commiting to buy. Good luck.

For sure. Before I took car to Italy last year I had sat nav updated at dealers, and was surprisingly impressed with the cost, I needed a comand update too. On top of this they also did a health check with video, highlighted a intercooler hose that was perishing but said likely to last trip...

Changed the tailgate struts on my S211 today, hope I never have to do that again, outside my patience quotient. Re tyres, had many, Pirelli, absolutely the worst, two blow outs, would never touch them again, Kumho, ok but noist when worn and they wore quickly, Falken, 3000 miles - really...

Eco and Premium conact very different tyre. Don't think the Premium Contact6 is available in that size sadly, looks to be a very good tyre.

Can't comment on these but run the same size tyre on my E280 - Goodyear Efficient Grip, find them really good.
