Neutral gear, apply foot operating parking brake, put gear into P?
I have to say, i normally park up, brake, put it into P and then foot operating parking brake last. :(
thanks for your thoughts. presume putting the car in P gear is enough to hold the car?
My concern was whether it will start rolling away at one point if it fails.
On a day to day basis, is it enough to park using the parking prawl without the parking brake applied?
I read in a few forums, mix messages from various owners.
My driveway is apprx. 10% slope down, nothing too steep.
Reason for asking is, I've been using the parking brakes for years till...
Got someone to come have a look. He said spring looks fine, a bit corroded but looks okay.
Will keep an eye on the rear nearside tyre and see whether it gets worst.
Thanks guys for your advice!

Let's hope not. It's my drive, quite flat. I have to say, every time I turn left, it does make a clunky sound. Not sure whether it's related.

... Measuring from the middle of the badge to the top of the wheel arc. Difference between the two rear is about 1cm.
Attached the wheel in question.
I also push the car down from behind, no squeaking or any type of sound which is a good thing.
Could it be the spring going or it's normal...
Thanks guys for your replies.
Yeah at least ebay looks promising but now that I have make an insurance claim, I'm still waiting for my car to be delivered to the garage. Let's hope that tomorrow it would be the case, so that I know where I stand and can get a courtesy car from the garage.
Not...
Hi,
Unfortunately I reversed to a moving gate! Gate wasn't locked and the wind blew it open.
I was wondering whether anyone can advise me how much this will cost and whether it's repairable?
Just want to know before the insurance co send my car to the body shop.
Thanks in advance
