need some advice on my Cls 320

The problem you started with and still have sounds just like the one I had on my CLS320 and many have experienced on here, the secondary throttle flap motor (swirl flap motor) is not working probably due to oil dripping on to it from the intercooler connection and burning out electrics, although...

Hello, John - got a new motor

Just a myth, diesel is very much a lite oil unlike petrol which includes ethanol so the extra lube is totaly lost in it except to help with lubrication much like early diesel did.

Hello, John - got a new motor

Borris has also added a very hefty new car tax for those who can afford to buy new so with depreciating residuals second hand is becoming more attractive, I have a q7 that has gained £2.5k since spring 2020

Hello, John - got a new motor

The OM642 was designed when I was on the design team at Bosch and the fuel was pretty important to lubrication of the triple head fuel pressure pump for the common rail system, the USA changed diesel content in 2006 leading to many Jeeps with the same engine blowing up pumps, it usually starts...

270 CDI W163 Constantly going into Limp mode and lititing to 2000ish rpm.

I stand corrected, which is a shame because M80 did a brilliant photolog of doing that job on a V6 cdi, as you have the earlier five cylinder I would still be looking at air volume as the issue and any reasonable diagnostic with live data will show that up for you, I use Foxwell and Launch but...

270 CDI W163 Constantly going into Limp mode and lititing to 2000ish rpm.

I hate to say it but that sounds like a typical problem with the older OM642 prior to the improvement of the rubber seal on the turbo to intercooler pipe joint, there is a stepper motor that opens a secondary bank of inlet ports on the inlet manifold over 2000 revs and it has a tendency to die...

Back in the day if you could get hold of a Scorpio 2.9 (as ugly as it was ) you had one of the best hotrod engines available, we bought many "B.O.B." cosworth 24v v6 2.9`s for custom installations and if you could get one from a hearse even flipping better because it had enjoyed an easy life and...

    Jensen Interceptor

Now this is a bit of me, I stripped and painted one many years ago with a friend, very ahead of its time, lots of different configurations during production, the early ones rotted bad but bodies were made in italy ;) (make your own punchline) The West Brom boys made a better job and with a mate...

    Brake judder

Good morning I only just read this so sorry for delayed reaction, you mention the brake fade which only occurs when something gets too hot, if one calipre is working harder than the other and esp is clicking in to solve the inbalance you will have the issues mentioned, test this by creating the...
