Ok, battery died and was replaced. Since that point, the boot will only open in stages. You press the button (either fob or in car) and it will open a few inches. Press again it opens a foot, then another foot or so.. Then eventually it will be at max. It won't close remotely either...
Of course, the same as some of the black friday "deals"... But we all still want to play the game... The "Take it or Leave it" usually means I will leave it (done it with houses too, much to the seller's surprise when they come back to me a week later)
My experience:
1. C Class - ad blue sensor went when car was about 20 months old. £600 to fix and Mercedes claimed to have no knowledge of sensors going wrong (internet said differently)
2. E Class - don't know what is wrong, so far spent about £800 and still needing to investigate further...
As above, is there a dealership anyone can actually recommend that isn't just out to rip me off?
I want a particular process followed, I have a STAR printout, but both Ipswich and Colchester say they need to run a STAR test and charge me £130 or so THEN they can look at it.. Well, not sure why...
Well, the car complained it had an ad blue issue. STAR told us it needed a new ad blue pump which was fitted. Then it was fine for about 30 miles and the ad blue issue came back on. Back to garage and checked and it says need new pump.. Another pump fitted (assumed the other was defective) -...
Yes it used to have his prices for servicing each car etc I was looking for it today as I want to book my E Class Cabrio in for a service and came across this thread !!

The dealers I spoke to would go over the car and check for dents/dings/scratches and fix them. And the car we picked up was pretty clean and tidy all around, no dents or dings or scratches.
Ok,
Just tried to take the roof off the car (2018 E220) and it went all the way down into the boot but then the rear panel stopped about 1" from closing.... Is there something simple I am missing to get it to work ?
