When I reg my UK CLK in France, there was no negative comment about about rear fog placement.
I bought a set of used LHD headlights for 200€ (leboncoin) and swapped them myself. Passed the CT without any problem.
I can't help but wonder about this chart. Is it based on factual garage visits and costs - if so how were they collected; OR is it based on customer satisfaction, which comprises expectations/actual events and the feeling of disappointment ??????
The CLK was my re-intro to MB ownership (had a 190e eons ago) and I thought how pretty she was. I washed her yesterday and she really glittered in the sunshine.
The experience was great so now after a deeper plunge into MB ownership - wish me luck !!!!
It's almost certain that the problem rests with the glowplug relay circuit thingamybob, rather than the plugs themselves. Apparently it's cheap and easy to change so I would recommend looking there.
Sold my CLK - well yesterday actually. Met a pal in our local bar and he was desperate for another car, knew mine and offered money, so we did a deal !
Where to go next? Another CLK or CLS ??
All pumps are similar in that there is a motor bit and a compressing bit. It is not at all unknown for the motor to still turn but creating little or no compression, this is often due to seals within the pump.
I don't know how much a new (not rejuvenated, gefirtled or fiddled about with) pump...
Well yesterday actually, did the first bit of what you might call mechanicking. Oil and filter change.
Pleasantly surprised how easy it was to get the underbody panels off, left it to drain for ages to get all the mucky oil out, had previously purchased an oil filter housing removal tool which...
I thought the video was interesting and a bit intriguing. I've used cheapy MAF's in the past with Land Rover products and found them to be, apparently, satisfactory - however this vid makes me wonder as I didn't test them like this guy did.
The only slight fly in the ointment for me is, how...
Hi Wighty, since reading your comment I've been thinking it through.
I really want to get rid of whatever is in there (who knows??) because it looks horrible almost black and only shows any red on the kitchen towel I used to wipe the stick. (so whatever I put in I'm sure will be an improvement...
Thanks for that Oldspanners. I've used Oscaro.com quite a lot for various vehicles, but couldn't find any of the correct atf at either place.
I'm thinking that I might buy a few litres of atf Dexron 111 as a flush/wash-out oil. So I empty out the old oil - maybe 3.5 ltrs which I think will be...
Yes but how old is the Google answer. If the rules have changed and Google didn't know/care, they will be giving out duff info.
You're best going to .gov website and even then they're not always up to date.
