I was told the same about the engine mounts but got my Indy to check and all was good so never bothered to change them

I have the same car and I’ve had it for 3 years and it’s alway been the same when cold
Gears work better once warm
I’ve got use to it now
It drives much better in the summer

I have to agree on the noise from the engine
I own a w204 c220 and always thought it was on the loud side
I’ve been given an Volvo XC60 from work and the Diesel engine is so quiet compared to my merc
You can’t even tell its a diesel
Now mine sounds even louder because of driving the Volvo...
It needs plugging in to star
I’m sure you will get recommendations when people read your post

Ok co2 won’t give you the best weld
Best thing to do is turn up the amps
Screw the nut on 2 treads and full up the reminding nut with weld
Tig weld would be best
Looking at the photo there doesn’t seem to be much bite on the weld you did before

I’d say it all depends on the strength of the bolt
If it 10.9 or Over you will struggle most drill bit will just go blunt
I’m not sure what strength they are on cars

Good luck
I doubt very much if that have touched something that they will admit it
You need to get in plugged in a merc specialist and they will find the fault
I was unlucky and damaged the abs module
I got it sorted and the the other sensor broke around 6 months later

I think low battery can also cause this
Some of the clever lads on here will give you more advice but with me it was the sensor
