I hear you and carbon fibre is a marmite choice. I would say though having the panels dipped rather than wrapped adds about as much weight as a pint of fuel at the most.

I didn’t like the brushed sulver finish on interior and the ‘claws so I had them dipped and laquered for a total of £300. I have added some pics in my album but you get the idea.
