Many thanks, looks like a good option although my FM reception is not that great either so might try the amped version when I'm back. Will let you know how I get on.
Well after a bit of fiddling and trial and error the reversing cam is in and working with the wireless.
Had a bit of trouble working out which fuse to tap in to but got there in the end. (I wanted to use the park tronic 13, but I think the cam was drawing too much) after a bit of trial and...
Thanks mate, I was trying to start out wireless then when I find / fit speakers \ amp run the wires but perhaps it's best to dive right in with the "electric string" mentioned earlier. I can then take the feed straight from the head unit cables.
I've got a fuse tap comming today I'm hoping if I...
Thanks guys makes sense now.. Really helpful.
Now onto the fitting of the backup cam and a budget upgrade to the speakers.
Cam was going well just can't find the correct place to tap into a 12v feed in the boot.
Thanks again for all the support this group has kept my interest in tinkering...
Well some great news... Replaced the unit and hey presto all works as expected.... Big thank you to everyone's input and help especially @AnthonyUK for you patience, multiple posts and spot on advice :geek:
Thanks for clearing that up mate, out of interest what's the difference "called" between thease 2 types attached (I used to have the older one and now have the newer one), Appologies if it's a dumb question.
Many thanks yup it's defo a 209 and pretty sure the Can bus to the head unit is a twisted pair, but could be wrong. Most of the test/varations/trails all point to the pair of wire that are connected by an iso.
I've put all the original audio 10 back in and all works fine...
Erisin are going to...
Many thanks @Alfie although I am pretty sure it's a post face lift model (double yolk lights and curved rear lights etc) pics attached.
I have had to send the unit back for a replacement but is there a better option all together / prework I need to do before starting again?
Really do...
This is a pic of the converter loom that's doesn't fit .... And 2nd one connected
With a bit of hindsite now... If followed and compared the pin outs on both converter looms and the bottom one looks to defo be the canbus with the 2 wires..
Yup came with 2 converter looms and I am pretty sure I am i am using the correct one as the other one simply won't fit. Broke into the wires directly and tapped them into the small white connector for 14... And guess what... I get exactly the same behaviour (pickup hangup call are recognised but...
Well I think I must be in the can bus with the 2 brown wires that were going into the bottom of the loom converter. That said it did flash up a roof error and another workshop error when I tapped into the 2 wires and fed into 14
While not what I expected seems a progress... Could it be erisin...
I'm not sure where to go from here, I don't have anything plugged in for cable 14 but I can't find anything to plug it "into"
Totally baffled as to how the phone buttons work and reverse cam kicks in with out it (maybe somthing residual from the original parrot installation)
Gonna dig some...
Hmm maybe the cable 14 is the key.
I'm only plugging in the iso sockets into the HU as per the vids here https://workupload.com/archive/fRvHJLA
Working as expected on audio 10 but only get phone pick up/down from the steering wheel when I put the Erisin unit in.
Will tinker a little more but...
Morning !
It has an integrated one I believe with the standard 3 iso looms going into their converter only 2 dims on the back HU
One thing that has just occurred to me is I don't have that loom plugged into the head unit could there be an issue with that.
My gut is telling me there is...
Well update from Esrin was not overly helpfull (although to be fair the vid they send shows what "should" happen) links below

In terms of can bus that works, backup cam when...
Thanks for the tips @Blobcat yup first thing I did was to get a new set of pry tools (I had memories from the 90s trashing my beloved Escort Ghia trying to pimp up the audio with a rusty flat head)
I have been looking also at wireless ones that just need power rather than running the video...
Well quick update, managed to load the launcher same as yours (makes a massive difference to the usability)
Still no joy with the steering wheel controls, have emailed Erisin support and see if they can help. The app shows nothing.
Don't want to root/rom it yet incase that invalidates...
