a picture tells a thousand words

Just to put things into some perspective, the gap from 1st to 29th is about the same size as the gap from 30th to 31st. Everyone should be glad they don't have a Land Rover :D (Unless you do )

    Warranty void?

I imagine you would get the most accurate answer by reaching directly out to Mercedes Benz UK about this.

Movement in the brake booster vacuum line at intake manifold

Not that I can hear. It's right at the rear centre of the engine so not the easiest place to listen. When the engine is at tickover it becomes very difficult to pull it (as you can see in the video it is minimal effort to move it with the engine off). I'm wondering if when under boost, the...

Movement in the brake booster vacuum line at intake manifold

Here you can see the plastic connector (50, 40 and 30) at the intake manifold end, seems this is a fairly common way MB use to connect the brake booster vacuum line to their intake manifolds. Basically I have some play in my vacuum line here and I'm just wondering if there should be some...

    Went to dark side

To be fair this is the case for virtually every 2+2 out there. Look at something like an XK. Big car, bigger than most saloons out there. Look at that rear legroom and seat shape!

    Normal alternator behaviour?

Hi all, I have noticed what I think is an oddity with my alternator that I'm not sure is a problem or not. Essentially if you blip the throttle, as the revs fall the voltage will dip on the way down. I found a video in YouTube which is making me think maybe this is not normal. Anyone care to...

What Have You Done To Your Merc Today?

Not me, but the detailer that came out. :D I did have a little laugh when I saw the picture. Unfortunately the bulbous arches don't make the most flattering mirror.

    The inappropriate badging thread

This is becoming frequently more normal unfortunately. Audi have done the worst though. I think the new S6: A. Is a diesel. B. Has fake quad tips  Not sure how you can get any worse.

What Have You Done To Your Merc Today?

Ah wow that looks SO shiny. We did discuss briefly but I told him I'm having some of the paint looked at (likely both sides will have some smart fixes in places and lacquered over entirely.) So will be inviting him back once that is done to ceramic coat the fresh lacquer.

What Have You Done To Your Merc Today?

It's had a go over of raceglaze signature 55 wax. Is there a coating you recommend? Only took 15 minutes to get on the Mrs nerves about it :D

What Have You Done To Your Merc Today?

It was £260. The bumpers and skirt didn't need any correction as they were only painted about 6 weeks ago so he said it was a bit cheaper than it would normally be for a large car. He arrived at 9 and left at about half 6, the entire day he was on the go. Unbelievable work. If anyone has an...

What Have You Done To Your Merc Today?

Yesterday I had a detailer out for paint correction. Old black car, lots of swirls.. basically the perfect candidate. Anyway, the outcome is ridiculously good. The car needed it. Although I did it a few weeks ago I didn't post about it, threw the AMG styled bumpers and sideskirts on. Not bad...

M275 Idle misfire (or return to idle misfire)

Do you know if it can be done without removing the cross member? As long as it isn't as bad as trying to do the engine mounts. That was a right faff when I tried it.
