Hi all just some updates took the car back to the mot guy put it on the ramp with spinning the wheel slowly he definitely said there seems to be a small spot on the Right rear but didn’t see it as an issue
I replaced the rear discs with new brembos cleaning up all faces
Even though I haven’t...
2 new rear tyre. Guy couldn’t see any damage to the rear wheels which is good
Stripped off the rear left disc loads of rust on hub all cleaned up
Did notice when spun the disc is slightly rubbing the parking brake shoes in 1 spot. Adjusted it slightly to help but it’s still there
The jolt I...
Hi there no single pistons on the back. I’ve never had an automatic before and when the mot bloke said te brake strength on the back was very good similar to front got me thinking maybe it is the rear
I’ve only had front wheel drive cars where the rear brakes don’t take up much load at all...
Thanks all I need some new rear tyres so will see if that makes a difference and have a look at the wheels on the tyre balancer
If I get a chance next week I’ll pop back to the garage to investigate this rear right as it was no better after stripping it all off yesterday
Hi all thanks for the advice
Firstly about the bearing nut it wasn’t an issue just all the videos on YouTube showed them easily tightening up with an Allen key straight on so was asking if there was an issue with my car
Anyway car had mot today mot guy ive used for years so asked him to be...
I have undone the bolt just in all the videos on YouTube they were able to get onto the bolt straight and mine seems to be a lot more in (as seen in the picture I put)
Just wondered if this is a tell tale sign of anything the bearings looked ok to me anyway and the recesses smooth
Hi all had a few hours on the car today
Cleaned up sliders on calipers in case it’s that and regressed no corrosion on the pins
Jacked both wheels up and checked for play couldn’t see any
Noticed noise on passenger side but narrowed this down to something in the actual tyre debris or...
Does anyone know a good kit
To fit to a 2009 c220 w204 and where they connect to see a few kits on eBay with wiring kit how do they fit

I had the wheel bearings adjusted recently I’m meant to have mot soon with someone I know so was going to check all this
If you drive about 50 the juddering doesn’t seem half as bad as 80mph which has me wondering
There is a bit of creeping slowing through traffic but nothing drastic enough...
I have bedded the discs in still the same issue I get a tiny catch when coming to a stop but nothing too unusual considering the tolerances
It’s at high speed it’s an issue at 80 it’s like it’s juddering under braking but at 40 you hardly feel anything
I also noticed the steering wheel wasn’t...
Thanks all I decided to replace the discs while I was at it as the old ones were a bit worn and didn’t want to do it twice
Was a slow job but not major issues the left side which is where I felt had the judder definitely had some rust on the hub all cleaned up so will bed them in and hope for...
Hi all I have wheel wobble at 70mph in my c220 w204 Mercedes
I’m not too clued up on the suspension or transmission setup so just asking for some tips

Thanks I do believe the wheels were powder coated recently and the tyres were on the wrong sides to start with
Is there markings of the size on the inside of the rim ?
Thanks all. Before I actually went fast round corners I had to wheels balanced due to a bit of wheel wobble I noticed myself and had them
Swapped
Still have the wheel wobble at 70 thoigh
225 45 17 front
245 40 17 rear
Only ask as both 245 were on the left of the car when I brought it so wouldn’t have thought they would have swapped the correct wheel bolts with them
