Not sure where I stand here with MB's history on paint work issues - not long bought this car privately and it's great - only minor issue is the dreaded stone chips mainly on bonnet / front wings - these have been touched -in but catch my eye and annoy me every time I see them.

I checked vehicle spec when originally manufactured and it has some form of paint protection -see below
[524 paintcoat preservation (с 01.01.1964) extract from importers data sheet.

Does this leave me open to repairs from MB ??

Thanks

Stuart

Stone chips arent covered in a warranty as they would be classed as fair wear and tear, the paintcoat protection would I assume be a coat of wax or the sticky plastic to protect the car during transport..the bubbling paint on the rear may be a case for a warranty inspection
