1/4 window drivers side R230

My drivers side 1/4 window motor has breathed its last. The part no is A220 820 0342. Has this been superseded ?
Really don't want to fit second hand part nor pay extortionate Stealer price as they don't make them. Anybody had experience of sourcing a replacement?

Whilst frame will be specific I suspect motor will be common over various models merc would have to work b hard to f up that possibility. Second thoughts, they may well have.

The reason for the question is that part no is A220 820 0342 seems to have a duel life. one as a motor for R/H side 1/4 window and also windscreen motor bracket without motor, isn't the internet Brilliant. Sent a picture to Auto Doc of the original A220 820 0342 as the motor for sale. Auto Doc say its windscreen motor bracket my indie says its the motor !!!! leave it with Auto Doc for the Moment. Await a reply

Where we are at now is the motor has arrived from Mercedes Germany, Stuttgart. Have in my possession, Made by "Brose", arrival coincided with my auxiliary Battery locking me out the vehicle. Have been nursing it for a few years now. Fyi this motor fits W220 & R230. Sort my battery out first then see. The motor in the car works intermittently dependent on ambient temperature i have noticed....sunshine

Auxiliary Battery replaced today, see how the intermittent window motor performs before replacement.
