107 280sl - heater fan switch

hhhmnnn - car has decided to have a mind of its own regarding the heater fan.

now working full blast intermittently - whats the best way to get the switch (rheostat?) out of the dash?

Hi Marc.
I'm not familiar with the 107, but in the majority of cases the knob pulls straight off (may need a pair of pliers and a rag to protect the knob), Then there is a nut holding the switch to the panel.
However I'd suggest you do a search on 'heater fan' as there's been a lot of discussion on this issue. There may be some other cause.
