There are some on Ebay, for the SL500 you would need two, you could do it two stage, say one coming on at 85 degrees and the other one at the standard 100 degrees, Breakers yards are full of them that no one wants, make sure you take the thermo switch.

in case anybody is interested i found a company called Kenlowe who manufacture electric fan kits for cars. mine is having a 16" suction fan fitted very simple upgrade and less than £200, which i should recoupe this year with the 8.5% saving on fuel by ditching the viscouse set up!! not to mention a much quieter car that warms up ina couple of mins. will keep you all posted.
