Please can you help. just purchaced the above car first thing i want to do is replace all rubber items and suspension including springs.
do you hace any recomendations as to were i can get these items i hve found shock units but cannot find springs will i have to get them from MB?
any help would be appreciated.

Do you want to keep it standard or modify? Depends on which but if you modify then I would guess you will be in difficult territory with lots of special orders (but much more fun)

i will be keeping her standard apart from refining mods (such as converting to electric cooling fan or poly suspension bushes). i am looking forward to getting stuck in.

Have you got a workshop manual for it? I saw one on the american web site for $35. On the bushes front, do you know the dims for the bushes? Maybe one of the polybush suppliers have the same size as a universal fitment.

i do not know the dims number yet. i have got the Merc workshop DVD comming my way lists every model from 68-2002 i have been told it gives you all the detail you could ever want! i will keep you posted.

Damn!!! Mine only lists from 1986-2002 and I looked - yours is identified but no info. Now I know where to come if I buy a W107. Fancy the W117 AMG racer though Hmmmmmmmmmmm...........

looks like there was a typing error on the description after installing the database to find out it only goes back to 86!!!!!!!!!
i have another workshop manual comming now specific to the 107 though its from america and does not list the 500 so i am not holding my breath.
W117 AMG mmmmmmmmmmmmmm nice.
