typical... go to check & replace my rear brake pads and find out what was causing the sqealing I was getting... right-side outer pad was worn down almost to the bracking and the piston is stuck in the out position and doesn't want to budge... tried bleeding the moving it but it's still removing to give more than a tiny amount... any tips?!

Don't know the setup on these with regards to handbrakes but there's no chance you are fighting against the handbrake mechanism is there? On my wifes Astra you have to wind the piston back in to return the handbrake adjuster.

Otherwise I would suggest a badly seized caliper should definitely be heading for the skip and any attempts to release it, succesful or otherwise, would be foolish.

Like Sprint 'n Go says, you normally have to wind the piston in - you can't just pust it like you can with front calipers.

Wind back tools are cheap enough and they make life so much easier.

def. a push job on these... the other 3 went in easily... finally got the 4th one in with the help of a g-clamp. Could see the rubber seal is partly knacked so I guess it's time to get a new seal.
