w211 problem.

Having problems with a 12 volt socket, its where the front in dash ciggy lighter would be, fuse is on the drivers side panel, power going to the fuse 9.* volts but socket not working.
Am I looking in the wrong place or do I need to remove the ashtray ?

I have sent you the ashtray removal instructions so that you can check if there is a voltage on the rear

The cigar lighter fuse may be shared with the glove box light or some other consumers, so if the are working then it wont be the fuse.
