I've got the cream leather in my 124 Coupe and the armrest attached to the passenger seat but it's a bit tatty with some of the piping being broken.

I was going to get it re-trimmed but just wondered if anyone knows where I could maybe get a s/h one instead, or even how much a new one is?

Cheers,

Phil

I broke the centre arm rest on the previous Merc, my first thought was that a new one can't be that expensive, WRONG, the dealers quoted my a price off the top of their head that bore more resemblance to a telephone number!!

The end result was that i got a second hand one, as the cover on mine was in perfect condition i didn't worry to much re trim colour, i just changed over the cover.

I seem to remember that you are in the Ashford area, the nearest that i know to there that is a decent rim shop, is in Gillingham.

They are called: Tarrot Tops
Trafalgar Street
Gillingham

I am going over that way tonight, i'll see if they are still there, and try to get a telephone number if there's one on the shop front.

Checked out the place tonight, its obviously not a trim shop any more. I haven't been there for some years, so don't know if they have moved, or ceased trading??

Like i said, the company used to be called Torot Tops, try the yellow pages.

Also a few months ago a similar question was asked, a guy who used to post named Mark Hannaford mentioned a place in Godalming Surrey, which isn't a milion miles away, try a search on his name, see what comes up.

Hope this helps.
