Hi Brian,

It's definitely not ATF, it's ZH-M, the same stuff used in the hydraulic suspension.

Available from the dealer or GSF.

I am planning to change it very shortly on my car, already got the fluid waiting.

Take a look in the reservoir, it should be nice and clean and almost clear in colour, a light straw colour is fine, but if it's darker than that, then it really should be changed.

I take the view that these kinds of fluids do have an operational life, so in the case of my car, after the best part of 18 years, I am sure it wont do any harm to change it.
