Ive got a 190 2.0 D everytime i park on a hill the fuel drains out of the engine. I presume there is a non return valve that has gone but does anyone know where it is?? Already phoned mercedes and they didnt know they just wanted me to take it to them to have a look!! Any help would be greatly appreciated as this is a very annoying problem.

Many thanks

This is a known problem and is not a non return valve, you have an air leak in one of the pipes around the bulkhead components, if you seach the forums you will find many threads on it.

Air leak in fuel return pipes, I would say.
Vauxhalls are famous for it.

One-way valve

I've got two E300 Diesels at the moment. One has a one-way valve plumbed in by the fuel filter, one doesn't. Guess which one wouldn't start after being parked nose-up for a week?

I'd call your local diesel experts and ask them, or contact someone like Think Automotive or Demon Tweeks. The part on the car I have is a tiny valve, not more than 10mm diameter (about the same as the hose) and it's in the feed to the filter

There is a Mercedes tech bulletin on fitting a non-return valve to W124 diesels so it's not an unknown problem. The running gear of the 190 2.5 is identical so the same rules will apply

There's a fuel pump, filter and fuel accumulator all underneath 190 cars near back axle and are under a plastic seal. This is what's on petrol models, I presume diesel will be similar and what Bolide says is spot on. Check Haynes manual for diesel model.
