Hi, can anyone help?
Last night and this morning I experienced quite a loud knocking from the engine - briefly but very noticeable - when starting up from cold. It's never done this before. The car runs absolutely fine, but it just alarmed me. I run the car on premium BP and Shell fuel and change the oil every 3k. The car's done 190k but has been regularly serviced throughout - no skimping.
Any thoughts? The car runs fine, as I've said, but I'm just wondering what's causing this very brief knocking sound when firing up?
