Any advice appreciated. I switched on the headlights this evening. Working perfectly. But no back-lighting for main instrument lights or back-lit illumination for heater controls and electric windows/hazard lights. I tried twisting the speedo rheostat in both directions but no luck. I've changed Fuse no.9 (8A, backup lamp, stop lamp, instrument cluster, etc), but no result either. The other alternative is to change Fuse 14 (8A) but this fuse is also for the parking lights and licence plate bulbs which all work fine, so I can't see any point in changing Fuse 14. Any suggestions for what else I can look at here? This has never happened before. Oh, all the gauges - fuel, oil pressure, temp, speed, revs, clock - work fine as do all the warning lights (main beam, handbrake, oil, battery, indicators, etc).

MANY THANKS

I believe there is a little red fuse in/on the rear of the cluster

Thanks Malcolm. Do you know what this fuse is for and what amp? Also, why put it in such an awkward position? Not very DIY-friendly...

Its a 1amp fuse but the size eludes me for the moment
