190D body scrapes rear wheel in inside

I have a 88 190D 2.5 , when i carry luggage or passengers in the rear the suspension seems to scrape the inside of the rear wheel when i go over bumps.
Have owned the car since 1990, never crashed or damaged, and on 170k miles
Have recently replaced the rear springs after i cracked one but no difference still scrapes, usually on the kerb side.
On my last trip to scotland i loaded the car , not heavily and the rear wheels seemed low within the wheelarch.
Could this be shocks or wrong springs?

What are your tyre and wheel sizes?

tyres are 185/65/ 15 on non standard alloys.
dont think they stick out more than normal ones though.

Can you get the wheel offset - possibly marked on the inside of the wheel somewhere...

I , i had that problem a few months ago , and only when removed the rear right well i discoveres a damaged stabilizer , maybe thats your problem too.
