Iv'e a nice 2.5-16 Auto, with aproblem that seems impossible to cure.
The car starts immediately , hot or cold , idles perfectly, revs to the red line when in park, but as soon as I engage gear, it all goes wrong. Sort of put, put, put , with a lot of exhaust resonance. If I keep the handbrake on and gently apply the throttle, it get's worse. Driving the car, there is a big power loss, always selecting a lower gear than it would normally need.
I'd be grateful for any any suggestions that might lead to a cure.
