Hopefully a quicky here chaps,

Anybody know where the coolant drain plug on a 2l 190e is? The Haynes manual is not much help on this one. There doesn't appear to be any plug visible on the block, did they not all have one?

aye. just for clarity, tom means the RH side of the block when viewed from the driver's seat. the drain plug is pretty much obscured by the exhaust manifold (when looked for from above) ... you need to get unde rthe car to see it easily

Engine block drain plug is on the right-hand side of the block. Open with an open-ended spanner. (Some have a nozzle to which a rubber tube can be attached).

just watch your knuckles when using an open ended spanner

Yep, hooray!

There is no plug on the block under the exhaust manifold. There is what looks to be a core plug on the other side. But it is not at the bottom of the block, it is about halfway up and in the middle.
I am thinking about getting some thin tubing and syphoning it out.......

Jim there should be a drain plug located just under the core plug next to the engine mounting on the drives side of the car itdoesn't look like a drain as such it's looks more like the head of a bolt like the head of a bolt.

Just above it towards the rear of the engine between the 3rd & 4th core plug
