I have a 190LE auto 1993 and sometimes when coasting to a halt the engine dies. It starts easily enough but it is annoying. It never cuts out when my foot is on the accelerator or brake. I have changed the over voltage protection relay and the fuel pump relay but whilst the problem seems to have improved (but I might be imagining it) it is not cured.

Someone has suggested that it might be down to a slider in the fuel injection system but I don't know what that is.

All ideas will be gratefully received.

Try simple first - check that all your vacuum pipes/connections are sound and in place.
Also some injector/throttle body cleaner treatment in your fuel tank wouldn't go amiss at this stage while you're still running the car. Follow the directions on the can (bottle).
