one of my rear windows has failed. There's a click from the motor when the switch is operated but no movement. Does anyone know how to remove the regulator assembly? There's some kind of fixture at the top but Haynes is typically vague and its impossible to see inside the door. Any ideas welcome!

Sounds like the same problem I had on me mates 190E and my 300E.

All I done to get them working again was to loosen the fixing bolts so the motor assy. was loose in the door. Then whilst wiggling the motor about and pressing the window switch it opened, I onlyoned it by an inch though. Leaving it like this I then fixed the motor back in, tighting up the bolts by hand only. After greasing the assy. whilst there, I opened the window fully, and then tightened the nuts up properly.

Both have been fine since.

It seams the limit switches get a bit confused for some reason.

Hope this helps.

PS. Be very carful where you put you fingers when doing this, else you will be finding them in the bottom of the door.
