190e heater control switch buggered?

hello forum, have a 190e on a f plate, the heater control switch became stiff, forced slightly to turn off and know does not turn on the heating:sad: , is there a link broken?

q. can i take out the unit and service, if so do i completley remove the fascia

if not

were can i purchase a new unit or have 1 fitted live in bedfordshire if any one knows a good mechanic.

Resolved; 190e heater control switch buggered?

Thanks for the reply, Malcom.Thought id be shelling out for a new matrix Problem solved the blower heater switch broken, remedy new heater control unit (used) £10 + vat from www.mercman.net or £25 + vat new from merc parts of solihul. Remove fasica and refit.

Mech quoted me £45 per hour + parts, Diy Job saved a bit of cash, just awaiting delivery.

Just go to your car with the VIN numbers, and the whole car is there,useful when you can do it yourself. Pleased that you have solved the switch at a sensible price.
