Hi all,
I have a 1991 190E. It starts and drives fine but once up to temp, it idles about 1250-1300 rpm. You can guess what this is doing to fuel consumption. There is an aluminium block/canister to the right of the injection unit which is connected by 2 hoses to the crankcase breather system and has a wiring connector. When I removed the air cleaner, it was obvious that someone had disconnected the wiring plug from this unit 'cos on reftting plug, it idled even faster . No experience of injection systems and appreciate any input.
Cheers,
Col.

If you have a plug on the throttle body, that is the idle switch, if that switch is not working it will be running from the main ECU and not the idle circuit

Dunno if this would work very well, but as a temporary fix you might be able to turn the warm idle to the slowest setting (its under the airbox facing the drivers side, use a flat head screwdriver to turn it anti-clockwise).
