Hi guys got a 73 114 that was not running on all cylinders. Traced the fault to the trigger points for fuel control in base of distributor. Car had been lying up for number of years. With the points cleaned etc the car is now running but the idle speed is very high. See no obvious way of adjusting the idle any help apreciated.

Is there a large screw between the block and the distributor

Hard to see anythin from the ignition distributor back as manifolds hide the block. The wiring and fuel feed pipes for the injectors are underneath. Roughly where would the screw be located. Distributor mounted on front of timing chain cover.
