1977 280E

I just purchased a 280e with no service manual...argh! When I apply pressure to the brakes an indicator light comes on in the dash. The icon is a circle with arched dashes around the outside of it and is just to the left of the "brake" icon. What does this icon mean?

your front brake pads need replacing...possibly the rears as well, but there isn't a sensor for the rear pads.
