well have finally got it running pretty good and thanks must go to merc mechanic of long standing who i sort of met by chance, a friend of a friend etc, after changing all electric stuff, doing fuel pump, filter,cleaning out the tank, he said that there was a micro filter in a union between the fuel feed and the metering head/injection system about the fifth the size of a shirt button, it was blocked nearly solid, anyway thanks to all you guys for your suggestions etc,but bare this filter in mind for the future, cheers andy
