hi back again, thanks for tips,tried all suggestions but now resigned to putting it in somewhere,have just seen roger edwards ,wembley as specialisig in sl's,anyone else local to hayes middx or even someone mobile,cheers andy

1977 350sl,

hi , this car stood for 2yrs before we got it, have changed the obvious plugs,dist, rotor,leads,coil,drained and cleaned inside of tank, new fuel, pump and filter, can hear injectors clicking,have fuel up to is it the metering head ,and to all the pipes , starts ok but when you give it some gas has huge flatspot, ticks over ok but then misfires bad, will get a mechanic to see if can check fuel or ignition prob before i put it in someplace, cheers andy
