1993 190E 1.8L stalling

Hi there !!

Can anybody help me with this problem??
My vehicle stalls on coming to a stop. This happens intermittently while say approaching traffic lights...
Already have checked and changed the obvious .... Plug leads, cap and rotar arm.....Checked fuel mixture

Any ideas more than welcome

Several points to check:

1. Air leak eg at the air filter box
2. Air flow meter
3. Dirty fuel valve

If you have a dwell tester - use the diagnostic connector to check the error codes

Don't know if you ever got the issue resolved but I had the same problem with my 190e.

Intermittent stalling when coming to a stoplight.

Resolved the issue after replacement of the fuel pump relay and OVP relay.

I was advised that these 2 components have been known to cause such problems.

I was aiming at replacing the FPR first and monitor the problem but ended up also replacing the OVP relay at the same time becoz they are quite cheap (where I am).

It was interesting to note, however, that my car did stall twice within a month of replacing these 2 items but the problem totally disappeared after that.
