2nd. thread today ! By way of explanation this is the first Mercedes I have owned and I am just settling in with it.
The remote (keyfob) when pressed works sometimes and then not others - new batteries (in both-main and spare remotes) make no difference.
When operating correctly the indicators flash - judging frrom the remote unit and the paperwork the system is Part number Q3 50 06918 - with 2 buttons at the top - the left one is for the doors etc., and the right one is Panic siron on/off
Is there any history of problems/failure with this type of remore/alarm
Is there anything I can do to get consistent operation ?
